Well here we are not knowing what to do for the Easter of 2020. Have you thought about what you’re going to do for the quarantine Easter Sunday? Well let me tell you I have, and I think we can make it people. Do you know what happens at just about all Easter events? You guessed it, EGG HUNT! This is the time to try out some new ways of having fun. I know what I’m about to share its not traditional, but what in the world is traditional at this point? Let’s face it you know it can be fun. Believe it or not there are going to be some nontraditional things during this season that will become traditional you just watch and see.
So, listen I have had my share of years with a house full of little kids and sometimes I had to be resourcefully creative. Now that I am the mother of a house full of teens and we are faced with a pandemic such as CIVID-19 I find myself being creative again but with a little twist for the teens. This will still work for you and your little ones. Let me help you do some creative and fun things with the family for Easter 2020. Trust me what you may lack in creativity will all be made up for by innovating some new ideas. Let get started!
Family Fun
1. Switch Up Style This game is for all kids ages. You switch it up by allowing the children to hide the eggs from the parents. You can be creative by asking the kids to place small tokens in or on the eggs. For example, mommy/daddy breakfast in bed, 1-hour peacetime (the kids promise not to bother you for an hour). For older kids use BIG rewards like wash the car card, cook dinner card or clean the closet. I’m sure that you can think of some good stuff to add in or on the eggs. 2. Dark Hunt Turn off all the lights and make sure that it’s dark inside. Make sure there is nothing that the kids could fall and hurt themselves on. You can even use the little led light from the dollar store to give a little flicker inside the egg to make it more exciting. ![]()
3. Give Me A Clue
Ok, this one id for all age’s kids and adults. This one requires two different types of eggs. You will need to hide the reward eggs and put the clue eggs in a basket so that the hunter can grab a clue then go on their hunt. 4. Egg and the Spoon Race Grab the whole family for this one. All you need is large wooden spoons, real eggs or wooden eggs. Let the race begin with the old fashioned Egg and Spoon Race. I don’t recommend using raw eggs because they can be hard to clean up. On your march get set go. ![]()
5. Jelly Bean Count
Yelp! Remember how you would go to the birthday party and there would be a big clear jar of jellybeans and a sign that says “GUESS HOW MANY ARE IN THE JAR?“ Wasn’t that the thing to think on all through the party? Of course, they never told you who won until the end right? Well, this isn’t your traditional Easter anyway so make it a party. Let them guess then don’t revile the answer until after dinner. They will love it! ![]()
6. Family Fashion Show
Let's do it runway style. So, with my background in beauty and fashion, I love to incorporate that into fun things in the family. All you need is clothes and imagination. Let your kids have a fashion show. Now you can do these two ways and my kids, and I have done both. * Let the kids dress you for the fashion show. * Everyone picks their own style and go for it. With these activities, you will not only have a ball, but you will come together and have a bonding 2020 Easter. Don’t forget your prizes, love, and creativity. Make this 2020 Easter one of the best ever!
